But the tsundere x super-positive dude is a tried and tested ship in the BL universe. Even boy x girl ships have tons of them. If anything the romantic innuendos would be less embarrassing to watch if they've been boy x girl interactions. As for me, LOVE IS NOT BASED ON GENDER so I hope this anime gets a fair chance like every other anime out there with romantic subthemes.

Okay so the graders basically are the ones who interact with clients and pick an artist that has art skills and style that fits with the clients requirements? Something of the sort? In that case artists are still more important cause without them the graders won't have a job to begin with and yet they act all stuck up lmao

This whole school system is irking me so bad cause it's literally makes no sense, they need to work together whether they like it or not, and without artists graders wouldn't exist.
I would get it if it was a war between lets say traditional/Asian music & arts and classic/western originated music & arts students, or maybe classics (Like oil painting and sculpting) vs modern pop arts/music (Like graffiti for example), or something of the sort that would be interesting and more logical. In that case the traditional or classics people will act stuck up and view the others as vulgar or chaotic, while the "vulgar" ones will try to change their stuck up mindset.

Anyway that dude that hangs out with Kyo, sakaki was his name I think, he is a total jerk, like the tools part angered me, I'm surprised no one slapped him and Kyo just stands there and stares at him. So when will Kyo stop acting like a bitch and talk about why he acting that way? I seriously hate people who can't comminute properly as if they don't have mouths.

Oh my god that Grader who's talking about Artists being tools and toys is making me so mad holy shit. Also annoyed at Kyo, like??? Talk to Kazuya and explain things properly to him if you don't want to partner up that bad. Communication exists for a reason like damn. There's clearly some painful backstory there, but it's better to talk things through (no matter how much both of them don't want to talk about it) and get it out in the open than continuing being this stubborn about it.

They all physically move so slowly, I keep disconnecting from the story because their movements are like sloths. And they keep showing shots of just someone’s eyeball which makes it hard to distinguish if someone is speaking out loud or having an internal monologue.

Seeing the ending, I have to wonder if the creator wasn't ready to end StarMyu, but the network wouldn't approve a fourth season, so PasCala was them finding a compromise.

Ok I still have no idea wtf a grader is supposed to be. A curator? An agent? A project manager? All of these positions have a purpose in the art world but they aren't more important than the artists themselves and they don't have the power to prevent art from being seen.

The way Kyo is behaving, it's as though he thinks something bad will happen if he's paired up or anywhere near Kazuya, and he won't explain the situation because the truth might hurt Kazuya more, so Kyo clammed up.

I want to think it's a dramatic reason, like his father had a hand in the deaths of Kazuya's parents because they got in his way, and Kyo is afraid Kazuya might meet a similar fate if they were too close. Obviously, this can't be the case, or Kyo would be more vehement in his rejection.

More likely, Kyo secretly thinks poorly of himself and wants better for Kazuya, and what caused this thinking is connected to the accident.

I think the story would still work if the school didn't segregate the Artists and Graders so hard, and the students just developed that kind of thinking towards one another on their own.

However, the creator would often reference the anime of Ikuni (RGU & Penguindrum) in their first series – StarMyu – which leads me to believe PasCala might be referencing YKA and Sarazanmai.

In YKA, the world is divided into Bears and Humans, and the story was about bridging that gap somehow. As for Sarazanmai, there was a character desperately trying to reconnect with a childhood friend who suddenly became distant, and his reasons are tied to a car accident.

The plot gets more interesting from here! But the teams don't seem to change at all! I am looking forward to see how Kyo will work with MC! It will be great! Hope there is a competition arc as well! :)
